Sleep Tips
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling and/or staying asleep. There are several causes to this disorder and in some cases it is just temporary due to stress and anxiety caused by work or a specific problem. It is very common to have every now and then sleep issues, however if this problem persists it is imperative to consult a doctor.
ROUTINE; have a specific time to go to bed and to wake up. Let your body get used to it.
EATING and DRINKING; watch your eating habits at night time. A light diner is always
recommended, avoid caffeine.
GO TO BED when you are ready to fall asleep. Doing other activities like working, eating and surfing the net will not allow you to relax.
AVOID thinking and stressing about things that you cannot solve at that moment. If you are worried about something or have a long list of to-do's for the next
day write it all down in a piece of paper and forget about it until the next day.
TURN THE LIGHTS OFF and make sure your room has the appropriate ventilation.
A QUIET environment is always helpful.
And finally make sure you have the RIGHT MATTRESS for you.
